The Old Country Gospel Message

The only way to eternal salvation is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  While men can lead and educate you along the way, conviction only comes from the Lord and the personal decision to accept or reject Jesus. Accepting Jesus as your Lord and Risen Savior is a life changing experience.

Our Beliefs: Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, on the profession of our faith, and having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now in the presence of God, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant of promise with one another, as one body in Christ for membership at Alpine Baptist Church.

We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love, to strive for the advancement of this Church in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully in the financial needs of the church for the support of the ministries of this church, the expenses of the Church, the relief of the poor, and the support of missionaries of like faith as they preach and teach the Gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion; to religiously educate our children; to seek the salvation of the lost; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements and exemplary in our behavior; to avoid all tattling, backbiting, and excessive anger; to abstain from the sale and use of intoxicating drink as a beverage, to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.

We also engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, to not sow discord in the members of the body of this church and to be always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the words of our Savior and to secure it without delay.

We further engage that we will be faithful in our attendance to this church and we will make every possible attempt to be present in all of its regularly scheduled services, all special scheduled services and all of its functions of fellowship and ministry as long as we are physically able.

Therefore; with this covenant, may the very God of peace be with us wholly and that He bless this union of membership between you and this body as we are preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
